HYPERSPACE: Best Discoveries of the Week – Episode Twelve

We are now at our 12th episode, and we are still delivering some pretty dope tracks before the Christmas period comes and everybody is just singing Mariah Carey.
Lots of incredible artists as always, proving that all around the world there are incredible artists that you probably never heard of, which don’t waste their time trying to get viral on Tiktok. They just roll their sleeves and make sick tunes for you all. Let’s start our today’s selection then.
Fasten your seatbelt and get ready to jump over Speedlight.

DAX – “Depression”
Excited to have with us the big DAX, previously with us in other articles (see here), he’s finally back with another sick tune, ready to hit us hard with his outstanding lyrics and melancholic beats.
This tune is called “Depression”, a song about his ups and downs in life, and of course, available on Youtube with a video that is always a pleasure to watch (as usual!). Incredible work here, unmissable tune.

BONZE – “(mercedes)”
Bonze has already proved himself with some incredible tunes (you can see our interview with him here), and we are excited to have him here on SpaceSour once again with his latest release “(mercedes)”.
The sound of this one will definitely project you into another dimension, featuring a heavenly mood combined with the neat and groovy drums, we are pretty sure you’ll fall in love with the style of this song.

Jimmy Harvey – “Call Me Back (When You’re Sober) (Maya Yenn Remix)”
We published Maya Yenn‘s incredible tunes many times in the past. This time she comes back in a different sauce. Singer and producer Jimmy Harney just released a remix of her track “Call Me Back (When You’re Sober)”.
That’s a bubblegum pop version of the original tune, which we extremely enjoyed for the peculiar choice of drum samples and vocal effects. Full of ear candies, this tune is extremely catchy and a perfect remix of the original tune already published by Maya Yenn.


SECRET TREEHOUSE – “Lovers In The Streets”
Secret Treehouse is a Bergen-based pop orchestra, set out on an everlasting quest to find to perfect melody. Their sound can be defined as guitar-driven rock that meets energetic electronic pop.
Their latest release came out today is called “Lovers In The Streets”: this is such a solid and remarkable tune featuring beautiful musical arrangements and clean mixes. We personally loved the style of these guys, don’t miss out!

KITE – “Lie To Me”
Kite is a Nigerian-born, West London rapper that began his musical journey in 2017, releasing some sick tunes up to now.
His latest release “Lie To Me” brings to the table a fresh breeze of a new sound. This tune will definitely bring you into another dimension with its chill vibes and the incredible melodic flow of the vocals: you don’t really want to miss this.

BREGN – “You And Me”
BREGN is an incredible singer and songwriter serenading folk proclivities, beckoning candour and ethereal guitar-led rhythms.
His latest release “You And Me” is a mix of summer, love, lots of insecurity with war and political drama, and energy crisis. This tune is fabulously chill and encouraging, featuring beautiful vocals and a very special musical arrangement.

SKAR DE LINE – “No Eyes In Paradise”
Skar de Line has just released his latest single “No Eyes In Paradise”, the third chapter in ’s autobiographical suite of music.
A powerful and captivating electronic pop tune that features big choirs and orchestral elements paired with hard-hitting beats. A beautiful musical arrangement, with lots of variety and remarkable vocals, will surely get stuck in your head!


RIVER WESTIN – “The Honeymoon Suite”
River Westin was an incredible discovery for us, and we were fascinated by his astonishing sound, especially with his latest album called “The Honeymoon Suite”: 10 outstanding tracks with a melancholy indie-pop sound will bring us on a nostalgia trip with every listen.
With this album, he brings us a contemporary flashback of the 50s and 60s pop mixed with a lo-fi hip-hop sound. Amazing!

STARAV – “Loneliness”
The incredibly minimal sound of Starav will definitely capture your heart with its underground drum beats and flawless vocal melodies.
His latest release is called “Loneliness”, and the style of the song definitely reflects its name: a melancholic production that features grungy electronic guitars mixed with distorted electronic elements.

MOON AND ARIES – “BREAK THE MATRIX (Episode Two)”
Once again Moon And Aries are here to continue to amaze us with their sound, bringing up slight innovations but sticking to their original style.
They just released the second part of their EP “Break The Matrix” (Episode Two), a pack of 3 songs with a fusion of Electro Pop, Trip Hop and cinematic Synth Pop, we are sure that this duo will hook you into their sensual, uplifting and spiritually charged Universe of sound.

BREON S.Y.N.D.E.L – “Protocol”
We had the chance to introduce BREON S.Y.N.D.E.L in one of our previous Hyperspace articles (here), and we know his songwriting paints vivid pictures and dives deep into his emotions.
He went hard again with another banger called “Protocol”, this time accompanied by a trippy music video which we enjoyed a lot. The tune arises an addictive chill mood, too good!

ABBY LONDON – “Off The Grid”
Abby London is a real talent, an incredible artist based in Seattle, US. Her latest release “Off The Grid” is a Pop fantasy song about going off the grid to get away from technology and corrupt governments.
The song is upbeat, quirky, funny, and sweet, featuring beautiful and soft vocals, and definitely a unique style that’s quite difficult to find around. Pretty remarkable!

RASEAN PARKS – “Black Venus”
Rasean Parks is an outstanding artist, and he just released a masterpiece called “Black Venus”: a smooth track for anybody who loves calm, head-nodding, Lofi-esque style music along with hidden gems and references for the ones who like to dig deeper into songs.
This tune emanates an incredibly chilled mood and a flow that will literally blow up our minds.

AIKO TOMI – “Handful”
Aiko Tomi is escalating pretty quickly with her hyper-energetic pop sound; we’ve seen her in some previous articles here on Space Sour, and we were amazed by the unique style of her music.
Her latest release “Handful” shows once again an incredible talent, a visionary: a song that is not afraid to cross the line of experimentation and innovation. Crazy sound from this artist, don’t miss out!

JQUESTT – “Voodoo Land”
The next artist comes from Memphis, but for this particular tune, he jumped to New Orleans, to track a very peculiar track. His artist name is Jquestt, and his last track really got our attention.
The tune is called “VODOO LAND”, and mixes African culture with the hip hop style. New Orleans is globally famous for this particular kind of practice, and the location had for sure a big inspiration for him, the track has some mysterious vibes while hitting hard with the lyrics and flow.

JUMBOKJAY – “I Dont Care”
He makes it super clear. STRAIGHTFORWARD. This next really don’t care what you say about him. He goes under the name Jumbok Jay and he’s from Texas, United States.
Visionary singer, he just released his latest single called “I Dont Care”, with a minimal beat that perfectly merges with Jumbok’s peculiar vocal style, that’s an extremely catchy tune, about not giving a f*ck. And we felt that.

MICKI XO – “Fake Gold”
Micki XO is a singer from Portland, United States. Her vocals and talent come to life in her new single called Fake Gold. Starting with an ambient pluck synth, Micki XO is able to sing about mental health in a very catchy way.
That’s an electronic-pop tune with some trap-influenced and some cool chill vibes, perfect for the afternoon or at the end of the day to calm the nerves and relax with Micki’s dreamy vocals in the background.
