HYPERSPACE: Best Discoveries of the Week – Episode Fourteen

Dear Space traveler,
Winter has come, and Christmas is coming. You probably noticed this from all the decorations in your town. At least you leave in the desert. Also here in space, we need to avoid asteroids full of Christmas decorations in order to find the best tunes around.
Well also this week we were able to avoid all the threats in this dangerous dark space and we are here alive, bringing to you these early presents before the holidays. Here we go.

CHANCE THE CLOSER – “The Algorithm”
Chance The Closer, is a producer, former actor and sales superstar, who just released a concept EP we felt extremely related to.
In this modern era, our lives are always more controlled by social media, and consequently, the “Algorithm”, which is indeed the name of the EP. Chance The Closer in this EP showed that he is able to effortlessly mix Dubstep, pop and trap, creating an innovative genre that still maintains pop’s catchiness.

HAQIBATT – “L’Electronique Des Songes”
Now let’s fly to France by the speed of light and meet the band Haqibatt. They just released a juicy and fresh Album called “L’électronique des songes”. That’s a very unique release, with different genres mixed in a flawless way.
The basslines here are extremely groovy and mesmerizing, together with the techno minimal drums the band is able to create a great Electro-Jazz album with a sparkling and experimental taste.

JEN ASH – “No Lover Lover”
This next artist is definitely a baller, in all senses. She was indeed a professional basketballer, and now she’s into the music business, delivering some extremely catchy RnB tunes. We are talking about Jen Ash, which recently just released a new tune called “No Lover Lover”.
The track showcases Jen Ash vocal talent, bringing some beautifully written melody that sits perfectly on the instrumentation. The guitar riff accompanies the song in a cool early 2000s style we absolutely dig.


ILTON – “Dopplegänger”
If you miss the electronic music from the 90s, don’t worry, we got you. To be more precise this new artist has the solution to your problem. He goes by the artist name Ilton, a producer based in New York who just released a tune called “Doppelganger”.
The track starts with some nice summery vibes, creating a 90s atmosphere we really miss, the twist is during the drop, with an acid bass part that’s gonna make your speaker bounce like hell. Mind-blowing!

SAVNKO – “Notgood@sports”
Savnko is an incredible Dj and producer based in Milan, Italy, and he brings us a fresh and unique sound today with his latest EP “Notgood@sports”.
This is a collection of 8 tracks featuring various artists that remixed the 2 main songs of Savnko, giving the EP a distinctive style and a bunch of copious moods: get ready to be immersed in the tunes of this stunning project.

MARY IN THE MIRROR – “Fire Lighter”
Infusing electronic beats with sultry yet haunting, ethereal vocals, Mary In The Mirror weaves her evocative lyrics into tales of intrigue, madness, passion and revenge.
Her latest release “Fire Lighter” is an alternative Hip-Hop/R&B tune described as a love song with a twist, featuring an atmospheric dreamy mood, this song will bring you into the magical world of Mary Mina.

SIMON BOYD – “Ask No Questions”
Simon Boyd is a musician and self-produced artist from Argentina. By combining his imagination as a painter with his creative instinct, Simon brings a unique originality to his music that pushes the boundaries between genres such as house, trance and experimental jazz. His latest release is “Ask No Questions”, an experimental electronic tune set in a great chill mood.

Premanition is an outstanding singer/songwriter and producer: she blends airy vocals and rising orchestral elements, ending in a dramatic flourish, parallel to the tempestuous journey of the lyrics, snapping back and forth from lonely to loved.
Her latest release “Mars” will catch your heart with its emotional mood and its angelic, pervasive, and powerful vocals. Impressive tune here, can’t be missed out!

SEAMOUSE – “Tidal Violence”
Seamouse is an incredible artist from Falmouth, UK, and he brings us his one-of-a-kind and unique sound here on Space Sour. His latest EP called “Tidal Violence” is a masterpiece containing 2 tracks consisting in an experimental/cinematic electronic sound that goes through dense synth layers, psychedelic noises, and meticulous drum grooves.

NIERI – “Face Remix”
Nieri is a rising dance-pop artist that teamed up with DJs Protopapa and Hey Cabrera! for the remix of his song “Face”.
The tune features pulsating synths, and bouncy drums paired with Nieri’s vocals, immediately transporting the listener to the best clubs of Europe and beyond. This incredibly catchy and groovy tune will get stuck in your mind with its retro sound!

ELECTRIC SOL – “Looking For Love”
Electric Sol is an indie dance-pop band from Phoenix, Arizona, that loves the feel-good vibes of the 1980s. These incredible 5-pieces embody the freedom of the Great American Southwest with their latest release “Looking For Love”: this synth dance-pop/80s tune will let us embark on a surreal journey with its catchy melodies and its groovy drums and basslines!

JAGARA – “Into The Night”

Incredible singer and songwriter based in Cleveland, US, Jefe Chindrix delight us with his magnificent voice, telling us stories with his music.

XIVRA – “L.A.L.I.M.U.”
Xivra is a producer, songwriter, and musician with a deep sense of sound style and an unexpected mix of different genres that creates catchy compositions in a wide range from live acoustic to electronic dance music.

ELEANOR IDLEWOOD – “Lost Blue Boy”
We are now traveling to France, Biscarrosse, to introduce the incredible music producer and 3D character designer Eleanor Idlewood, with a unique retro/synth-wave sound this artist is bringing us a new wave of 80s mood with the latest EP called “Lost Blue Boy”: a selection of 5 tracks that will let your soul levitate with these dreamy and ethereal vibes!

BLOODLIN3 – “Panic Attack (feat. Young Collage)”
The brothers are back on Space Sour with their crazy flow, for those who missed the previous releases (here), Bloodlin3 went even harder this time with their latest single “Panic Attack” featuring Young Collage. Last but not least, we have an incredibly catchy track to make you listen to. Let’s fly to Wellington, New Zealand and meet singer-songwriter and producer Tarn PK.
He just released a new track called Petty, the single dives into the Hyperpop genre, but creates a really peculiar sound that mixes elements of Funk and Pop music as well. Tarn PK production is extremely neat and his vocal style is undeniably catchy.
