FASTER ON FIRE Is a phenomenal duo from North Carolina: this is the pop-punk band we needed right now. Jon and Alex are both multi-instrumentalists and they are in the music scene with this project since 2019. Their latest release “The Basics” was released just a couple of weeks ago, and it gave us that 90s goosebumps we missed for a while, reminding us a bit of the legendary Jimmy Eat World and Blink182.
The song is very well produced: great drum fills and remarkable guitar riffs make the track very solid and extremely pleasant to listen to, thanks to the arrangement that has been structured in every little detail. Vocals are also remarkable thanks to Alex’s singing performance that gives a unique character to the song.

This tune is basically his interpretation of serenade, a very unique style that honestly we never heard before. The song feature Flamengo guitars, reggaeton style drums, electronic synths, acoustic piano, and the astonishing vocals of Laurentis, with an impeccable timbre that makes the tune incredibly warm, decisive, and consistent. A must listen, one of a kind.

Thehighwaystory – “Anna Mae”
After listening all day long to one of THEHIGHWAYSTORY’s releases, we are finally ready to introduce it here on SpaceSour. We talking about “Anna Mae”, one of the latest releases of this crazy artist, rapper, and songwriter from Rockland, US.
The song brings us to the clouds from the very first seconds, with a dreamy and melodic intro, and a sick sound design: we already love the beat.
When the 808 kicks in with Thehighwaystory vocal lines, we are suddenly caught by the remarkable chorus. We actually can’t stop singing it in our head: “Anna Mae Anna Mae, I just wanna conversate, Conversations on ya phone, Say you wanna be alone”! FIRE TUNE!!
Sahara Beck – “Stillness”
SAHARA BECK is back with another release, the first of this 2022, and once again left us speechless.
“Stillness” is the name of this track, in an indie-pop/90s rock style with a hint of western vibes thanks to the artistic arrangement of the guitars.
Sahara is an incredible talent, her voice is extremely characteristic, and the way she sings gives this tune a kind of gloomy, mysterious, and melancholic vibe, but also a sense of freedom and accomplishment when she reaches the higher notes.
This is a very minimal tune and definitely something different from anything else, which cannot go unnoticed.

November 2nd – “Island“
This one is an amazing band based in Prague, with over 10 years of experience. Let’s give a warm welcome to NOVEMBER 2ND with their latest releases called “Island”: an alternative/indie rock production with a touch of soul and blues vibes.
After many years of playing together, comes to no surprise that these guys released another extremely solid track, with a captivating and compelling sound, we can feel the strong skills this band has.
The lead vocal performance has no rivals here, the way she sings fits perfectly the style of the track, with a strong and impeccable timbre, Island is pure art at its finest stage. Glad these guys released a new song after a while.. We want more!!
Ryders Blu – “As Long As I Got You Babe”
RYDERS BLU is the ambitious project of these 2 amazing lads, PJ O’Neill (Vocalist, Guitarist) and Jake Carrick (Drummer), who have known each other and played together for over 10 years. Their skills combined, give life to an incredible style that they crafted during their life, going from synth-pop/electronic pop to R&B, from indie rock to alt hip-hop, this duo is extremely far from being boring.
Their latest release “As Long As I Got You Babe”, is definitely the kind of tune that puts you in a good mood from the very first few seconds. The fast-paced drums lead the rhythm together with the guitars, pads that add some excitement, and the remarkable vocals of O’Neill: all of this makes this tune the perfect fit for your morning routine.
Emma Elizabeth – “A World Away”
Get ready to dive into a real emotional journey with “A World Away”, the first 2022 release of EMMA ELIZABETH. First release, but not the latest, we picked this one because we fell in love with the incredible mood this song is capable to put you in.
This is a very special release, a live acoustic record with just guitar and voice. Emma’s voice is simply astonishing, and her skills stand out amazingly well in this performance, from the heartwarming lyric to the melodies of the lines.
What can we say, you just need to sit down and close your eyes while listening to this song, and you won’t have to do anything else other than listening and start going places with your mind.
Gasanova – “Harley”
Who’s GASANOVA?? This phenomenal producer, singer, and songwriter from Chicago, US, has just made us go crazy with his insane style after releasing only 2 tracks.
“Harley” is his latest release, an incredibly original tune with a fast-paced beat that brings back some elements from the 80s and 90s.
The song starts with a guitar line extremely remarkable, with a kind of “western vibes”.
The drums and the vocal lines are produced with sick attention to detail, they merge perfectly with the guitars and all together lead a rhythm that won’t let your head stop moving.
The rap part was a plot twist: this is a masterpiece from an artist with incredible skills, we can’t wait to hear more from Gasanova!

Pkay – “Pls Call Me”
When comes to strong skills and unique style, becomes extremely difficult to not mention PKAY. She’s an incredible singer and songwriter based in Los Angeles, USA, just 21 years old.
Pkay has already released one album that she wrote entirely alone in a car, and the last track of the album called “Pls Call me” just captured our heart.
This is an acoustic tune emotionally driven, that gives all it has just with a piano and a voice.
Pkay vocals are stunning here, from the melody to the rhythm of the lines, from the lyrics to the intensity of tone, she was able to create a masterpiece just with the help of a piano and a few strings. Amazing tune, amazing artist, a must-listen.

Holly Jade – “Blame California”
After being included in our Best Of The Moon of January, HOLLY JADE is back on SpaceSour for this OuterSpace Selection with her latest release “Blame California”.
We all know her guitar skills and her amazing voice, and this tune represents completely her style and origins. The unique characteristic of her song is for sure the very remarkable guitar tune that plays throughout the song, along with vocal lines, which are confident and provocative: they are just perfect together.
The track keeps its rhythm thanks to the very minimal drums, which becomes incredibly elaborate when percussions join during the second part of the song. That’s a HIT!
Orca – “Situation”
Sharing some love for this incredible lad: ORCA, a vision-impaired artist, and songwriter from Jerusalem, Israel. This guy has the ability to create banger tunes, emotionally driven and also very well produced. We had the chance to listen to most of his releases, and we loved them all.
His latest release is called “Situation” and it has a very unique style: we can slightly feel an arabic style, mixed with some fresh modern hip-hop. The vocal lines sit perfectly on the beat, with a neat 808 we can’t stop to pump it in our speakers!
Orca’s music will bring you on an amazing journey, and trust us when we say that the more you listen, the more you get addicted.. Perfect!

See Plus – “The Sun”
See Plus just released a new tune called “The Sun”, a mellow-pop/indie-pop track, that’s extremely catchy and will get stuck in your head extremely easily.
As some of the best songs out there, also The Sun was inspired by a relationship break-up. When the singer had to cope with his feelings it came out with these uplifting tunes, which helped him go over his situation and understand more of himself.
Certainly, this tune will find many people to empathize with his situation and probably feel more comfortable knowing that we’re all in the same boat (like the one in the single cover).
The guitars are extremely well produced and the rhythm of the song will work great on a live performance.

Luna Keller – “Wanderer”
You probably won’t expect that singer-songwriter Luna Keller, is not English but rather Spanish/German, since her singing is technically perfect and her pronunciation completely flawless.
Her new tune “Wanderer” made us dive into her personal life, with a really intimate story, that will help you cope with your homesickness.
The song has a very catchy acoustic guitar arpeggio that sustains the whole tune, and Luna Keller‘s soothing vocal style will easily make you feel uplifted after listening to her story.
The track was written during the last day she spent in her childhood home, and you can perceive her emotions and feelings through the recording. “Wanderer” is the last song featured on her upcoming album “Prophecies and Silver Linings”, which will be out April 14th, and we really look forward to listening to it.

Lost Like Lions – “Back To Life”
Lost Like Lions is an alternative rock band based in Buffalo, New York, that formed around 7 years ago and still releases great tunes as their last single called Back To Life.
The production behind the single is very solid, reminiscing other more emo-influenced tunes that came out in the mid-2000. The track definitely brings some nostalgia with it, and it’s perceivable from the melody and guitar sound. Sometimes the guitars stand more into the new wave of Shoegaze, similar to Turnover album Peripheral Vision, while the arrangement reminded us of early Brand New releases.
If you’re alternative rock aficionados that miss the old scene, this track is for you and we suggest you listen also to the rest of Lost Like Lions back-catalog.

V-train – “Cold World”
If you want to chill this afternoon, we got you covered. “Cold World” from the producer V-Train, is the perfect tune to chill with. This is a lo-fi beat like no others since it continuously introduces a new element, that will keep your ear awake and chilled at the same time.
The DJ scratches reminisce of old-school-type beats and the addition of the piano makes the tune feel more like a lounge tune, which helps you set you in the right ming set.
The final touch of sax is definitely the last dab on the layers of sound that we definitely needed. A great and peculiar sound design, that will calm your spirit.

APOLLO RISING – “WHERE ARE WE GOING”
Apollo Rising is a duo band based in Canada, Ottawa. The formation might reminisce the one of Twenty One Pilots, but they definitely bring something more to the table than the rest of the duo electro-pop bands you can usually do with their eclectic arrangement.
The band perfectly merges different genres, from Pop to Synthwave together with some typical RnB productions.
The real drum sound sounds perfectly with the piano and synth arrangements, bringing a solid sound that never feels obvious.
We definitely loved the theme of the tune, the band self-reflecting on their own situation as musicians, bringing life-questions to emerge, where everybody can doubt of their own situation, not knowing where to head.
Tony Loud Woodz – “What The Hell Is This”
SICK!! Just Sick, that’s what we thought while listening to Tony Loud Woods the last release called “What The Hell Is This”.
Solid trap beats, and razor blade lines that Tony delivers with all his energy. I can imagine the mic in flames while recording all these dope tunes, twenty to be exact, that is part of “What The Hell Is This”.
The album, never sounds the same, Tony knows how to fit his vocal style with the beat. Also, the instrumentation, prevalently dark through all the records, has many layers of sound that grab inspiration from electronica and more pop songs.
If we have to decide just to songs out of the album to represent it, we will say, listen to “Swerving” and “Barista”, then listen to the whole album anyway. You won’t be disappointed.

N4November – “Constant Reminder”
“Constant Reminder” is the new tune from N4November. That’s an alternative rock tune that feels anthemic and will sound amazing live during a show performance. The project was founded by songwriter Alex, based in Sydney, Australia.
The genre reminisces of early 2000 bands, and late Good Charlotte production, Alex throws his emotions in the lyrics and vocal performance, in a rollercoaster of feelings.
That’s an uplifting tune, that we found a lot in line with the themes of pop-punk bands, like Simple Plan and Alkaline Trio.
SONGS FOR SABOTAGE – “Rumors”
Songs For Sabotage just released a new dark pop track called “Rumors”. This tune was initially conceived in 2020, and after two years after its conception, we are incredibly happy that this came out.
The tune, takes the typical trap elements, like 808 bass and thin hit hats, that accompany most of the song, but what makes the song stand out are definitely the honest and raw vocals, that throw a lot of emotion to the listener making it part of the whole experience.
The almost ethereal guitars in the background, give the tune a hint of melancholy. which we definitely crave in dark tunes like this. That’s the last single from them before their album comes out, and we hope we are not gonna wait too much before new singles are released.
DREAMER$ PARADICE – “LOVE DREAMS”
Love Dreams, is the last release from the trapper Dreamer$ Paradice, and conveys all his emotions and feeling with an honest pen. The singer sincerely throws all his love and dreams in the lyrics, and the vocal style transmits his sense of hopefulness.
The beat starts with an almost ethereal piano pattern which set the base of the whole tune, the 808 bass is not prevalent in this track, leaving more room for the vocals.
The vocal production definitely leave a lot of room to the dynamic and singer’s expressions with and clean and crisp sound design.
XIXI – “Boog”
The Concept EP “Boog” from producer XIXI (pronounced Eleven Eleven) really surprised us. It is 22 minutes long and it was released on 2/22/22, it also came out the same day as an NFT on Opensea, and we personally really love when musicians embrace this new concept of distribution.
XIXI created an EP infused with many different genres, starting with a dark and fast trap tune called “Drive”, which rightly set the mood of the EP, audacious and honest. “222” instead is a more settle down tune, with different female vocalization, and touches of RnB.
This release is mainly an instrumental collection of tracks, which sustain themselves amazingly without the need for any lead vocal melody. The EP has other more RnB-based tunes like HrtBrkr and PG Country which never lose their edge with dark 808s in the background in some of their parts, or catchiness with subtle piano patterns. Another tune we loved is 8049 Hamlin St. which has a more old-school approach, great for gangsta rap aficionados.

ihatejon – “iGOTME”
iHATEJON, aka Jonathan Borneman just released iGOTME, an honest trap-influenced tune about self-love. Jonathan wrote and recorded the tune in his bedroom, writing all about his emotions after his breakup.
Don’t be fooled by the pink color of the single cover. The tune is extremely deep and reflects on co-dependency and love.
Sometimes being too attached to someone you think you’re in love, doesn’t really connect with what love really is. Loving everybody unconditionally and feeling connected with the rest of humans, is the starting point of finding a truer meaning, and as Jonathan discovered, it all starts with loving yourself first.
The Vonics – “Goodbye”
The Vonics, is a band based in the UK, that just released a new tune called Goodbye. This single is probably the most cheerful tune you’ll find on this list today.
This track brings happiness, and it is infectious. The trumpets add an essential layer to the tune, that adds the right amount of groove and cheerfulness you can expect from a radio banger.
The vocals, are extremely well performed, almost screamed and punk at times, but keeping the positive vibes and right energy to the tune. If you’re feeling down, that’s the right tune to listen to today.
Chris K – “Up My Dose”
Chris K is a talented songwriter based in Chicago, United States, that just brought to us this dope tune called “Up My Dose”.
The tune starts with some chill synths layered together and that sustained the whole beat and leave space for Chris K bars and vocal performance.
The bass has a more syncopated approach than most trap tunes, giving and RnB vibe to the tune. Chris K’s vocal style fits perfectly in the track and never feels mundane, always keeping the audience entertained. We bounce our heads from start to finish, and while the track only last 2 minutes, it definitely gives us an excuse to play it again immediately.

Chase Bennett – “Toxic”
Chase Bennett merged perfectly pop-punk with trap elements in his new tune “Toxic”. While being a punk rock song at its core, Toxic takes different sounds from the trap world. From the hit hat in the first part of the tune and the vocal style, which partly reminisces Juice WRLD and later Machine Gun Kelly’s songs.
While being completely open in his lyrics about doubt and frustration, the mood of Chase Bennett‘s new single is very energetic and fun. Toxic is a track that we would love to listen to at a live show, something like the now-dead Warped Tour (hoping it comes back, maybe it will), or a punk show in general and start a moshpit right in the middle of the chorus. Chase Bennett definitely hyped us and we cannot wait to see what he is up to for the rest of 2022.
