Outer Space: Monthly Track Selection – Vol 5
Welcome to the Outer Space!
This month we went a little too far from the sun. So don’t expect some warm happy tunes that celebrate how much summer is cool, well apart from a couple of exceptions, still that’s a tour around the universe. Anyway, the main theme of this Outer Space is definitely darker than you might expect from a best of the month article in the middle of June. And we are seriously okay with that, summer doesn’t exist in space, get your head around it.
However, we promise you that these month’s tunes will make your ass move, that’s for sure, there are some very energetic and uplifting tunes on this post.
Be ready, today’s trip is pretty savage and full of hurdles, and that’s how we like it.
Let’s begin our Outer Space journey.
iHateJON – “See No Evil”
Let’s welcome again a phenomenal artist that has landed here on Spacesour for the second time: iHateJON!
No need for introductions, this guy has already proven himself with his previous releases, and he’s finally back with a brand new one that left us speechless: we’re talking about “See No Evil” released just a month ago. This tune has an extremely chill vibe that will flip your mind with its melancholic beat, the incredible timbre of iHateJon, and the stunning flow of his vocal performance. Despite his young age, iHateJON is fully capable of sharing meaningful concepts and personal experiences about toxic relationships, giving the listener the chance to be entertained by the incredible musical arrangement, and get blown away by the clever lyricism and the way it gets transmitted: Definitely the right tune for good listeners and even more appreciated for people who shared similar experiences.
Another masterpiece from this artist, thanks for sharing your music with us!

Muddasheep – “Still Leben”
Excited to introduce another incredible artist from Vienna, Austria, with over 20 years of experience as an artist, musician, and producer: we give a warm welcome in this Vol.5 to the amazing MUDDASHEEP!
His latest album called “Still Leben” is a masterpiece made in collaboration with other artists, making sure that the 14 tracks contained will bring you on a surreal journey. Since there are numerous artists that worked together with Muddasheep to give life to this stunning album, we can say that these songs would never get you bored, keeping your attention until the very last track.
“Take It To The Grave” and “Ascender” are the only 2 tracks without collaborations, even though the album follows a specific style line, we feel that these ones are definitely the heart of the album. Ascender caught most of our attention for its crazy sound design made of distorted lo-fi and punchy drums, melancholic and dreamy pads mixed with rhythmic ethereal plucks, all of this with a solid structure and upbeat rhythms that will definitely get stuck in your mind. The entire album is worth a listen from beginning to end, such an incredible masterpiece.

Ceyeo – “Trying”
Let’s introduce a very versatile artist from Chicago, US, an independent producer that is able to merge different genres to create a unique sound that will bring you into outer space. We talking about CEYEO, a very fresh artist with just a total of 4 tracks released in the first part of 2022, and we can assure you that you’ll experience a stunning journey listening to his singles.
Ceyeo is used to combining rock with hip-pop and R&b, creating such masterpieces as “Broken” (if you haven’t heard before we suggest you listen to it now!); not the case for one of his latest tracks called “Trying”, a more intimate electronic/pop production r&b vocals infused that’ll give you chill vibes and dreamy moods.
The track features the stunning voice of Poetic Justis, definitely, the perfect voice for this kind of beat, and a carefully selected choice of sounds make this tune the perfect song to listen to when you need to put yourself into relaxation mode. A must-listen!

MAIJAH -“Star-Fairy”
You might recognize Maijah from some of our past reviews and we are very happy that she put out this new amazing EP called “Star-Fairy”. It collects some of her past singles like “Sparkly” ” My Time” and “Autumn Vibes” together with three brand new tunes.
This release is extremely solid, showcasing Maijah‘s singing talent and versatility. From the first tune of the EP Maijah shows us that she knows how to flex in a “sparkly” and colorful way, always keeping her peculiar RnB style on tunes that vary from trap to electronic with some rock-inspiration on some parts, like on Autumn Vibes.
The sound design of the EP sometimes reminded us of Billie Eilish’s last album, both have a variety of sounds and genres and are incredibly well-curated producton. “Tightrope” is an amazing ballad that fits perfectly in the middle of the EP. In the same fashion My Time and Magnetize both sound great as the last tunes, both with an energizing and cathartic ending that made us love this release even more.

ANDREW NARVAEZ – “BETTER WITH MY FRIENDS” (feat. Crooked Hill & Charles Infamous)
Andrew Narvarez, singer-songwriter from New Jersey, with his positive guitar vibes just came back with his second single in 2022 called “Better With My Friends”. Andrew’s Narvarez style is very versatile jumping from RnB-style vocals to old-school rap.
The chorus is extremely catchy and perfectly conveys the sense of friendship and passing the time with the right people. Andrew’s vocals sometimes reminded us of Post Malone, anyway his style is very recognizible and this song he perfectly showcases his talent and singing skills.
Crooked Hills and Charles Infamous, which are featured in the song during the second and third verse, add some very solid variations to tune in a really consistent way. This track sounds amazing now during the beginning of June, especially if you’re listening with your friends.

TERRARRI – “P U L L U P” (feat. Carnell)
Terrarri is a rapper from Jacksonville who just released his last tune “P U L L U P”. He seems to be pretty active this year, since that’s already his fifth release in 2022. Terrarri demonstrated to us that you don’t need to swear or diminish women to do a compelling trap song.
You can leave the guns at home and still feel extremely cool pumping up this song from your car. It might not be a Maserati, but you’d still look pretty damn rad if you turn up the volume during this song, even on a pieceashit car.
Terrarri‘s flow is flawless, the song goes smooth and the autotuned vocals perfectly fit with the instrumentals. The beat is extremely chill and energizing at the same time and Carnell’s feature on the second verse adds the right icing on the cake. Extremely solid trap tune.
FORTS – “The Chemist”
Based in Phoenix, Forts is an alt-pop trio who just released the dark and reggae-inspired tune The Chemist. The first band that came to our mind while listening to this Alt-Pop Dark-Pop tune was “Crosses”, Chino Moreno’s side-project, and since they not really putting out that many records, it is extremely satisfying to listen to bands with a similar obscure sound.
Also the theme behind the song is pretty dark, yet cathartic in some way, as we see Mars, Forts’ singer, imaging herself as The Chemist and dealing with her chemical monster, the cause of all the depressive and stressful thoughts inside one’s mind.
The production and sound design are extremely well-curated sometimes reminiscing some of the latest productions from the band PVRIS.
Forts is a breath of fresh air in the music scene, and we are very excited to see where this band is going to head, wishing them all the best.

JAY MEADOWS – “Steve Rogers”
Let’s be honest, people always focus on the American rap scene, not really mentioning other places in the world. But let’s admit it, Canada does it great as well, and Jay Meadows, the Toronto-based rapper, definitely set the quality bar higher in the rap underground scene.
C’mon, there’s no just Drake in Canada, open up your ears and listen to Jay Meadows‘ last tune called “Steve Rogers”. The bass and subs hit hard on this one, and Jay Meadow’s flow is savage. His vocal style also reminded us of Mac Miller at times, but with a new and fresh twist.
Jay has proved to be very aware of his vocal range, singing a very catchy chorus, with a melody that even tho is more sung than rapped, keeps the tune dark and uplifting at the same time. You should take a look at this incredible new talent, he just started 5 years ago in the music industry but we know that he got a bright future in front of him.
Rilay – “Testimony”
RILAY is a new upcoming artist from Seoul, Korea, who just landed in the music industry with his first release showing us what he’s capable of. We know very little about this guy, and we crave to learn more about him and his releases.
“Testimony” is the debut single that surprised us all with its incredible style: a modern pop-rap track that blends a bit of old school, jazzy melodies, and funky grooves, with a sophisticated electronic sound design that makes this tune an impressive masterpiece and for sure a real pleasure for our ears.
The song features vintage keys, trumpets, and a clean set of drums and percussion that accompany the track in a very smooth way; sitting on top of all of this we have Rilay’s vocals that are definitely the icing on the cake.
Excited to see what this guy will come up with in the next months, can’t wait to hear more!
