Space Discovery: R.E.N.
Welcome to Space guys, and welcome back to another Space Discovery article!
This time we are incredibly happy to share a real fresh artist from Los Angeles: R.E.N!
Just 22 years old, R.E.N started singing less than a year ago, and we found out she’s an amazing multi-talent girl, a full-time model with a ballad and theatre background.
The passion for singing comes after recording a cover track with the producer from Grey, recording successively her first single called “Moved On”.
Hands down this is an outstanding production, artistically designed to perfection.
R.E.N.’s voice is pleasant, soft, and empathic; the arrangement goes along the vocal lines merging all the elements in a perfect manner, definitely an impressive work for a first single.
“Moved On” is a real solid track: it starts with a melancholic but decisive mood, accompanied by pads, strings, and emotional piano chords.
R.E.N’s angelic voice is strongly felt during the verse; her determined timbre opens the track to the chorus where drums and strummed guitars start playing adding an incredible rhythm to the track, giving it a sort of plot twist that is incredibly pleasing. The chorus is extremely remarkable, with stunning rhythmic details and melodic vocal lines that will be difficult to forget.
A lot more to come for this artist for sure, we can’t wait to hear more from R.E.N.!
Welcome to Space R.E.N!!
Congratulations on your new release! Briefly present yourself to our Space Travellers!
hey, Space 🙂 I’m R.E.N, an LA native currently based in NY where I model full time. I’ve danced since I was 8, acted since I was 10, and started music about six months ago 🙂
What’s the story behind your latest release?
Rendezvous offers a glimpse into a heartbroken girl’s mind, where her ex permanently resides. It’s a tragedy when the love of your life leaves you behind for another girl and no matter how hard you try to force the images out of your mind, all you can think about is the two of them together in that honeymoon stage bliss. Meanwhile, our protagonist has been bettering herself, hoping to reignite the flame with her former lover. Unfortunately, it’s futile seeing as he “quit too soon and fell [for someone else] too fast;” However, upon zooming out, she realizes the monumental heartbreak that ails her is merely a blip in the grand scheme of her life, nothing more than a Rendezvous with plenty more to follow.
What are your plans for the future?
Definitely more single + music video combos to come and a project in the works that we’re planning on flying to the desert to shoot.
