Space Review: Little Fuss – “Hazy”
Welcome to Space!
Sharing an incredible indie-pop duo today which just released their debut brand new EP featuring 4 tracks!
Vocalist Olivia Martinez and multi-instrumentalist Cody Von Lehmden, these guys met abroad while studying in Spain and teamed up to build their stunning project called “Little Fuss”.
Now based in Boston, the duo spent the two past years writing music and growing together as musicians, nothing could stop them even after getting kicked out of Spain due to Covid-19.
The EP has notes of modern pop and 80’s vibes; the duo itself takes inspiration from big artists like Billie Ellish and Kate Bush, giving life to a unique sound that is capable to bring you to a surreal journey.
4 tracks of real pleasure, our favorite is “Human Of The Century”: a powerful mix of nostalgic 80’s synth-pop that brought us on a fantastic journey.
The song starts with an intro formed of some instruments playing in reverse, it leads then straight to the verse bringing in drums, bass, and a finger plucked guitar, accompanying the distinctive and decisive voice of Olivia.
The verse is groovy, clean, and very detailed thanks to the incredible mixing skills of Grammy-winning producer Carlos de la Garza.
The song changes completely after the verse, bringing in a fresh chorus made of 80’s synths and angelic vocals, making it one of the coolest indie choruses we’ve heard so far!
This is an incredible duo and if you are a fan of vintage/retro sounds but also like modern music, you definitely don’t want to miss this out.
