Space Review: Lorensa – “Stranger Instead”
Welcome to Space!
Sharing today some real nostalgic vibes with the latest track of Lorensa!
Singer and songwriter from Israel, based in Los Angeles, this wonderful artist delivers to the public some powerful and original messages through her music.
Lorensa has a unique style: her angelic and dynamic voice sits incredibly well on various beat genres, going from dance to R&B and pop.
She has a kind, gentle, and decisive voice character, giving the song a distinctive touch and a style that brings Lorensa’s signature to the tunes.
In 2020 Lorensa released 4 singles, and she’s actually working on her brand new EP that will be out soon.
“Stranger Instead” is a song about the cycle of relationships and the numerous questions we ask ourselves when they end.
The song starts soft and calm with an ambient pluck playing a sad melody, Lorensa also starts singing with a warm, gentle, and vibrant vocal tone. After the intro, the verse kicks in with some modern pop/trap drum kit and acid 808 basses, surrounded by future bass-style synths that add a sexy and retro sound to the song.
The ending of the verse leads straight away to the chorus: a fast pieced drum beat accompanied by impressive and remarkable vocal hooks with the incredible high-pitched voice of Lorensa. Also, the vocalized background vocals give the track a dreamy touch, adding wideness and presence to the chorus.
Honestly, the chorus got stuck in our head for a while, we can’t wait to listen more from this girl! Lorensa is an absolutely rare individual with a lot of talent and an incredible voice, we already see her on the top charts!
